Son histoire remonte \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque des samoura\u00efs, principalement durant la p\u00e9riode Muromachi (1336-1573) et la p\u00e9riode Edo corps et l&rsquo;esprit dans le but ultime de s&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer, et non de tuer un ennemi ; un concept mieux connu sous le nom de fudoshin (esprit immobile), qui fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 un \u00e9tat d&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre. Pour cette raison, le fondateur du style, Kawabata Terutaka, a choisi le nom Ryushin Shouchi Ryu. Ryushin signifie \u00ab esprit ou c\u0153ur du saule \u00bb et donne l&rsquo;image de cet arbre flexible mais fort. Shouchi signifie \u00ab sagesse brillante \u00bb.
